What is a card Break and how to join one | BIDEA

A card Break is a live opening of sealed product, such as boxes or packs, where several buyers purchase spots. Each spot entitles you to part of the contents under rules set by the seller, for example a team, a character or a randomly assigned position.

What you buy when you buy a spot

In a Break you do not buy a specific card. You buy a place in the opening. When the seller opens the product on camera, the cards are split among spots according to the announced rules. That lets you take part in opening expensive product while paying for only a share.

For the same reason, the result is not guaranteed: your spot may receive highly sought cards or common ones. Before joining, understand how the contents are split and what product will be opened.

Formats: random and PYT

In a random format, spots are matched to teams, categories or positions by chance, usually on camera. In a PYT, pick your team, format, you choose the team or category you want. On BIDEA the available formats depend on each seller.

Break spots are sold separately from regular product auctions. A single Live may include both, but they are different purchases with different rules, so read the Break listing before buying.

What to check before joining

Confirm what sealed product will be opened, how many spots there are, how they are assigned and how the cards will reach you. Shipping or pickup options are set by the seller per show and country, and you will see the final price before paying.

Ask in chat about anything unclear and check the seller's profile. Watching a Break only requires opening the Live; buying a spot or chatting requires an account.

Common questions

What does PYT mean?

Pick your team: you choose the team or category of your spot instead of receiving it at random. Availability depends on the seller.

Does a spot guarantee a valuable card?

No. You receive whatever corresponds to your spot under the Break rules, and the contents of sealed product are not known in advance.

How do I receive my cards?

It depends on the shipping or pickup options the seller sets for that show and your country. Check the listing before buying.
